usually id spend like 25 dollars on the 2.5/3 lb ones but then I found this and it was perfect for bulk. id have to buy those small ones every month or so (I have 5 chinchillas) when I found this I was so glad that I wouldn’t have to buy more for a few months

This is a healthy well-balanced food for chinchillas. I also give it to my degus. I mix a little bit of other foods in with it, as it is rather plain (pellets). But it is reasonably priced, and the large quantity lasts quite a while.

You Need to have an airtight container for this, but the bulk price is worth it. I would look for a dog food container because there are lots of options and this bag of food is the size of a dog food bag. My chins love this food and it’s good for them too. Never get a chinchilla food with raisins or colorful bits in it, they are chinchillas, not gerbils. they will only eat the colorful bits and not the normal pellets, this can make them overweight and sick. Always feed lots of timothy hay with the pellets. This Bag will last forever if you only have two chinchillas, there are 66 cups in this bag and you should feed 2 chinchillas 1/4 a cup per day total, so this is an 8.5 Month supply.
