Directions |
If you are feeding Selective to your rabbits for the first time, make sure you change from one food to another, gradually over 10-14 days. At first, you should mix a small amount of Selective with your rabbits’ current food, slowly decreasing the old diet, whilst gradually increasing the quantity of Selective. A sudden change in diet can cause digestive upsets – even when you are changing to a better quality diet – so take care! |

The bun loves this stuff, and more importantly, her health has improved on it. It is fresh, she seems to find it definitely tasty, and healthy.

I’d eat the whole bag in one sitting if I was provided the opportunity.

When we had rats we fed them the Science Selective rat pellets and they loved them (and stayed a very healthy weight). So when we adopted a rabbit I checked out various pellets but chose the House Rabbit pellets because of the ingredients (no alfalfa hay) and the fact that Science Selective makes very appealing pellets. Sure enough our rabbit gobbles them up and accepts them as treats (they are that yummy!).

This is good food for our rabbit. It costs a bit more than some of the other options but our rabbit loves it and it seems to keep him happy and healthy. You will get some dust in the bottom of the bag after shipping but that is pretty hard to avoid.

It is admittedly a little pricey but my rabbit loves it. Came fresh. Smelled right for rabbit food. The pellets are larger lighter and fluffy looking. Different then other brand pellets looks. I don’t see another bunny having any issue eating them. My rabbit is standard size though.

As my rabbit got older I swapped this out for his favorite food with the dried fruit he loves. Took him a bit to get used to this food, but I feel like it’s so much healthier than what he used to eat.

I’ve actually only used this food as treats for my bunnies since sweet things (carrots, fruit, etc) are not particularly great for their digestive systems. This is along with their daily serving of romaine, a bowl of kibble in the evening and unlimited timothy hay and water 24 hours a day (and also unlimited love and treatment suitable for members of a royal family–jealous they have a better life than my human family or so many people out there!). Typically, I’ll give a couple of these at a time throughout the day as “treats”. When I first introduced these, I would keep saying the word “treat”. Now, when I say “treat” they’ll come running at full speed for one or two of these pellets. Again, every-bunny I have ever had in our family has loved these. I’ve never tried this as a full serving for evening kibble, but I know a vet tech who has (I know they use multiple brands, so I don’t know if the rabbits who get these require a specific diet). I have always used a different brand for regular kibble. Also, these pellets are larger, so it’s easy to hand feed as treats. So it’s win/win. Happy bunnies and healthy treats! I’m sure my buns would have written a similar review, except they’d probably have asked why their human doesn’t feed them this food only. 🙂

I feed my bunnies Sherwood pellets. This brand came with one of my foster bunnies. She turned her nose up at the Sherwood pellets and also some Oxbow pellets. All my bunnies go crazy for these. I may change brands for all four of mine.
